Your Chance To Spread The Word

If you need an excuse to broach the subject of bed bugs with friends and family – this is your lucky week. Afterall, it is Bed Bug Week, a segment of the NPMA's (National Pest Management Association) initiative  –  National Pest Management Month. The NPMA is US based and which the Canadian Pest Management Association (CPMA) is associated.

Everyone Benefits

Take this opportunity to hone your own bed bug skills or help educate your peeps about this pest. Raise the awareness level and everyone benefits. It is only through awareness, education and pro-active measures we will control the spread of this nasty pest.

The NPMA surveyed over 2,000 American adults and found nearly three out of five respondents were participating in some type of precaution against bed bugs. That is great news as it shows bed bug education has expanded beyond the childhood rhyme ‘don`t let the bed bugs bite’.

Education and vigilance are the first steps to help stop the spread of bed bugs, and we`re pleased and encouraged to hear that so many American are becoming more aware of their surroundings and taking measures to protect against this troublesome pest,
— Missy Henriksen, Vice-President of Public Affairs, NPMA

From our perspective, we see a similar rise in the public’s awareness here in the lower mainland of BC. Keep the momentum going and help 'spread the word, not the bed bug'.
