Passive Monitor (formerly BB Alert Passive Monitor)
Passive Monitor (formerly BB Alert Passive Monitor)
The only passive monitor we recommend is the Passive Monitor, formerly the BB Alert Passive Monitor (also known as PackTite Passive Monitor). It is small, cost-effective and simple-to-use. Placed in protected and out-of-sight locations, in close proximity to potential hosts, it provides a perfect harbourage for bedbugs.
Once in position, the stand-alone detector requires no maintenance. Simply check the monitor when changing the bed linens. Such regular inspection for tell-tale defecated blood spots and cast nymphal skins provides early-stage warning of the presence of bed bugs and enables faster, more effective treatment at the site of the problem.
Note: during the order process you will have a choice of 3 shipping options.
Optimum results require someone to be sleeping in the bed on a routine basis, as bed bugs are attracted by the carbon dioxide and body heat we produce while sleeping.
If cast skins are detected on the white border, carefully remove the unit and place in a Ziploc bag for identification by a competent, pest professional. If fecal spotting is detected, test with Bed Bug Blue Fecal Spot Detection Kit. If positive, consult a competent pest professional for appropriate control measures.
